2007 Hope Moto FR Disc Brake
Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006As Eurobike creeps up, more parts come out. The Hope Moto FR’s look to be very promising.
The Moto FR offers a 25% increase in power compared to the MonoM4 or Mono6 with the same disc diameter but remains progressive. The body of master cylinder is in the shape of a delta for increased rigidity. There is no inflection of the master cylinder even during emergency braking. The adjustment is done with the same Allen key used for the adjustment of the distance of the lever. There are two lever shapes, standard or two fingers.

Disc:
- Standard Disc 203mm
- Disc: semi floating 203mm
- Floating semi Disc ventilated 203mm
The ventilated disc was designed for extreme conditions. The wings between the two discs allow a better cooling of the disc. In addition to that, the temperature of the disc is lower by 15% with the vented floating disc vs the conventional floating disc without the vents. Another positive outside of cooler temperatures on the disc itself is that the vents increase performance in the wet because of better drainage.

Unfortunately it won’t come in this mean green color but will be a steel blue color.

I’ll take two thank you.
Update: Estimated MSRP will be $265-$315 range per brake (depending on rotor choice). They are hoping to have them available starting in November. (Larry @ mtnhighcyclery)
