Basso and Ulrich out of the Tour de France
Friday, June 30th, 2006Dopers take away the integrity of the sport. Basso and Ulrich are on the sidelines as a result of investigations. So far all the American contenders have remained out of the investigations. The governing body (ASO) of the Tour has stated that those implicated will not be allowed to start. What kind of Tour de France is in store with these key players missing?

“At 9:34am on Friday morning, T-Mobile announced that it has suspended Jan Ullrich, Oscar Sevilla and Rudy Pevenage in the wake of the Operacion Puerto affair. The three were implicated in the doping scandal as being clients of Dr Eufemiano Fuentes. None of them will take part in the Tour de France.”
